A traveling fair of original Istrian producers

A traveling fair of original Istrian producers was introduced at a European paralment confernece named Organic and Origin. The 20 istrian producers who were represented at the conference amazed the officials not only with their natural aromas and rich flavous, but also with their many certificates proving their organic growth and their natural origin. The trustee for agriculture from the European commission Phil Hogan wanted to emphasize the importance of having original and organic products all over the EU.
The fair also presented its products at a restaurant named Maison d Istre where a gastro-show with original Istrian products was held with addition of great recepies from good chefs who are experts on Istrian cuisine. Istrian producers presented many kinds of prosciutto , charcuterie, cheese, olive oil, tea, hemp oil, honey, wine, beer, soaps and many other kinds of food and beverages. Folowing the conference on tuesday 27th of november a new restaurant and hous of Istrian cuisine was opened under the name Le Petit Oignon with a rich menue full of Istrian dishes and wines.

The traveling fair of Istrian products is organised by an association Istarsko - Eco-museum in Vodnjan (Istrian de Dignan) in cooperation with an association " Istrian eco-products", The Croatian chamber of commerce, county of Istria and the agency for the rural development of Istria.
